Revell/Monogram New Issues

TD put me in touch with the folks at Revell/Monogram.  After their convention in October they should have a list on their web site of the new TD kits they are going to re-issue.  I hear that "Bad Medicine" is up for consideration.  I have made my suggestions...what do you all think?  If there is a consensus I will forward on to the people at Revell/Monogram.

    DB - I’m so happy to hear about the reissues. Guess I picked the right time to start these dioramas I’m planning. My suggestions would be the S’cool Bus, Bad Medicine, and the Garbage Truck. Thanks for the great news!

    Michael - You have 2 out of the 3 I pushed. However, I had Dog Catcher instead of Garbage Truck. I did build a Sand Shark recently and it is nearly identical sans the fins and decals.

    DB - I never had a chance to build Dog Catcher, but I like that one as well. It would be interesting and challenging to recreate original versions from later versions. Some wouldn’t be too difficult (Street Fighter from the Quicksilver kit, for instance), but others would require advanced modeling skills. Happened to look at your Completed Models page and noticed you added Cop-Out. Great build and a beautiful paint job! I wonder if you should post a blog entry when you complete a model to alert us of new entries and enable comments on each build (since the Completed Models page doesn't allow comments). In answer to your question, it seems the clear cover for the beacon light on the right side is missing.

    Michael-I have not built a Dog Catcher either but I just like the concept. What you are talking about I think is referred to as "kit bashing." Your ideas are cool - you should go for it. I would need to get some additional tools (and skill for that matter) to pull it off. For example I would like to take the tracks off of Rommel's Rod and put like maybe Groovy Grader type wheels on it. Good catch on the Cop Out...I don't know what happened to it. I am out scouring the Internet trying to find another one. Thanks for the kind words. I will get a post going on photos being posted. Make sure to get me some of your own photos when ready.
